Hi Hip Kit Fans! Michelle here with you on this lovely Saturday with two fun pocket pages that I put together using the bright and springy March PL Kit!
If it isn’t already obvious, I don’t use pocket pages in a traditional way. Years ago when PL became I big hit, I jumped on the party train and made a PL album too. Throughout the first year of doing it, I fell in love with the “everyday” focus of the album, but I also became flat out exhausted because I was juggling my PL scrapping with my traditional scrapping. You see, I hadn’t given up my regular layouts because making them was still my favorite thing to do, thus juggling multiple albums ended up being a bit of a headache. With this in mind, the following year I combined the two into one album and haven’t looked back! Incorporating pocket pages into my traditional albums lets me keep the everyday component of Project Life that I loved while not losing the thing I love most about scrapbooking–making layouts. I ended up extending this style into all of my albums and have found that using both styles allows me to document more memories in less time. I no longer do a traditional layout for every single photo that I love, instead I do a layout for a favorite photo and then I put the rest in pocket pages. Easy peasy! The layouts I am sharing today are examples of how I use the pocket pages to document several photos all at once.
One of the really cool things about the Hip Kit Club, is that each month I have a perfectly coordinated scrapbook and PL kit which helps keep my pages cohesive despite the difference in page types.
One of the pluses to using pocket pages is that I have more room to write the stories down. The Hip Kit PL Kits come with a great, mix of exclusive journaling cards and I am always thankful for the room to get those words down.
Capturing the everyday moments of my kids’ lives is such a joy and I am so thankful to have found a memory keeping style that helps me get it all down.
Thanks for stopping by today and listen to me talk about how I made memory keeping work for me!
