Flowers, butterflies and mixed media is what today is all about! Yay! How fun is that?! And this is the last page with my February 2018 Hip Kits, tomorrow it is on to March. A little sad for me because I really love these February kits, but HELLO!! March kits are AMAZING! Okay back to the point!

I started this page out with the yellow acrylic paint from the February 2018 color kit. The yellow is pretty bold and I wanted an ombre effect so I mixed various amount with white acrylic paint from my stash. Then I applied the paint with a palette knife, darkest on the most right side and lightest on the left. I applied it super thick so I could see the lines and texture of the paint. And it because it was so think, I gave it overnight to dry.

Once it was all dry, I added papers and lots of flowers around the photo. Flowers and butterflies were perfect for this because they are so happy. Times have been rough lately for my teen and I wanted this page to show the sunshine that is waiting for her on the other side of the rough. Hopefully she will get through it all soon.
