Today on the blog, I am featuring the beautiful and fun February PL Kit! One of the highlights of the PL kit month after month are the set of exclusive journaling cards. They are bright, fun, and versatile. For this particular page in my layout , I paired the cards with a batch of photos of a recent winter hike in the high desert. The pretty colors really went well with the soft, natural colors of the scenery. The cards are also super functional and provided me with lots of free space for journaling.
When I am picking out journaling, I like to look for ways to make them my own. For example, I took a left over diecut from a previous layout, traced it lightly, and then ran the card through my typewriter. After I had my story down, I adhered the diecut with a light layer of glue and my tiny attacher.

Other times I like to use the cards as spots for embellishing. This time I took two puffy stickers and layered them in the bottom corner of the card. Again, my final touch was to staple the larger sticker to the card. Sweet and simple.
