Hip Kit Exclusives with Felicity, Lorilei and Michelle

Hello Hip Kit Friends!  Today we are bringing you creative inspiration to use the Hip Kit Club Exclusives found in the December 2017 and January 2018 Hip Kits!

Felicity here with my cute little Mini album. I was smitten with the exclusive papers in the Hip Kit December kit, that I had to create a cute little mini album.  I had these photos taken in the space of a few minutes. Shows so many different characters of the kiddos.

I enjoyed putting this together, just treating each page like a card with lots of stitching and embellishments.

I love focusing on the HKC Exclusives!  The designs are always outstanding! I used the 3×4 cards found in the Hip Kit Project Life kit and also incorporated one of the gorgeous papers designed for Hip Kit by Irit Landgraf that can be found in your December 2017 Main Kit or Paper Kit!

Here you can see I fussy cut the Best Ever from the Crate Paper Die Cut pack and used two of the exclusive project life cards to back it!

For my focus, I highlighted both the exclusive papers and diecuts from the January 2018 Kits.

I created this layout using our exclusive patterned papers and love how easily they all coordinated. A simple way to make the paper the focus of any layout is to use lots of it! Layering pieces of patterned paper under the photo is a great way to add a bunch of color and pattern without the end result being too busy. I also added in a piece of vellum from my own stash to help soften the colors.

Since I went bold with the patterned paper, I left quite a bit of white space to balance out the layout. To bring more color to the top of the layout though, I used a floral diecut (also exclusive!) at the corner of my layout where I placed both my title and journaling.

My final step was to add some machine stitching. This not only added texture to my layout, but it anchored the embellishments and paper. When I know that I am going to add some stitching, I go really light on the adhesive. Not only does this keep my sewing needle from getting mucked up, it lets me flip the edges of my embellishments up which creates dimension.  Thanks for stopping by today and letting us share our projects using the amazing HKC Exclusives!
