Merry Christmas!! Christmas is finally here! I know right about now we are opening gifts and hanging with my parents. It’s always a wonderful day filled with so much love and fun, food and loved ones. I decided to share this year’s Christmas card with you guys in my Mixed Media project. And for this, I used the December 2017 Hip Kits!
Because the colors in these kits are not traditional Christmas colors, I reprinted the photo in black and white and cut off the top and bottom from the card.

I used the December 2017 color kit and the stamp from the December 2017 project life kit to make my background and the just a few stars and bold lettering to finish it off.

Wishing you all a merry day! Jessica is next!

Merry Christmas! I’m sharing my last November kits project with you – can’t wait to dive into the December kits. I think the December kit colors inspired me for the color scheme today:

I have used some fun stuff that I first encountered at a Steffi Ried workshop: Powdered snow! I really like the flakes – and because it’s been such a snowy day for me, I wanted to really use that as a texture on my mixed media background (for which I used gelatos by the way).

Look at those gorgeous cut files! Audrey created them this month and she’s done such a fab job. Here you can also see the texture in a close up. It’s crispy and snowy, I can’t get enough of those flakes. I’ll put them in pockets and everywhere else that’s supposed to imitate snow. Hah. Check out my embellishment cluster:

It’s easy to guess that I’ve had a lot of fun, right? Check out what Kim has created, it’s gorgeous!
xox,

Talking about those we love most…my page using the November 2017 kits, is about my two darling children, who mean the world to me. It is a celebration of Christmas & that they are our greatest gift.

What better way to celebrate Christmas than with a celebratory wreath? This one, easy to create using a selection of different sized patterned paper stars and a varied selection of stickers from the amazing November 2017 kit , is simpler to put together than you would think!

First I painted a ‘wreath on my background page using white gesso, once dry…. festive paint splatter livened things up looking fabulous against the green background. It made the perfect circle template for building my wreath.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have found these ideas inspirational!
