Mixed Media Monday with Missy | Corrie

Hey, Hip Kit Fans!  It’s Mixed Media Monday, and we have three beautiful projects full of inspiration to share with you. Missy & Corrie are here to show you some fun ways to incorporate mixed media techniques into your projects.  Fun stuff!

Hey, friends!  Missy here, and I’m kicking off this lovely Mixed Media Monday.  I used the 2017 November Hip Kits, and I was inspired by the colors in my photo.  I cut out several stars from various patterned papers from the Main Kit and December Documented Kit.  I used some pink and light blue watercolors from my stash to create the mixed media background and embellished with lots of snowflakes.  I used stickers, puffy stickers and die cuts.  I also used a few of the Hip Kit exclusive Wood Veneer shapes and buttons.  I love the pops of gold in the kits this month, and it really makes all our Christmas pages so festive!

I cut this “Holly Jolly” piece from the exclusive cut apart sheet.  And how adorable is this gold star clip?!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!  Be sure to check out my process video here to see how I put this page together.  The amazing Corrie is up next!

Hi guys! Corrie here with some mixed media in my December Documented! Every year I say I am going to finish this project and I never do, but this year with the beautiful November 2017 kits and the really incredible December Documented kit, surely, I will be able to complete this album and not just think about it.

I have my “title page” and days 1 & 2 to share with you today. Plus, you can see some of my polling pages. These all use any and all of the November kits and December Documented kit. As soon as I got them, I went ahead and mixed it all together so I could just grab my supplies easily. I don’t preplan my pages so its good that everything already works together!

For my mixed media I used the Distress Inks and the sweater pattern stencil from the November 2017 Color Kit and some molding paste to create a fun textured background.

December Documented has started for me! Are you working on this project? I know it will be so awesome to have once it is done. (Not that I am wishing this month away!) Thanks for looking!
