I take pictures of my girls on the first day of school every year. Even my college attending daughter sends me a picture of herself on the first day of school because she knows how much I love them (and also because I bug her about it about a zillion times leading up to the first day, lol).
For this album, I used the last pieces of my September 2017 Hip Kits. It looks like I have a TON of stuff left in these kits because this little album was so packed, but just know, it was mostly paper (which I do not typically us a lot of) and die cuts from the Turn the Page Ephemera pack from the main kit. And although I still have some letter stickers and felt bows and paper left, I will consider this kit done.
I got the idea for the tag album from the Maggie Holmes Interactive Journaling Cards in the project life kit. I loved a couple of the cards in this pack, especially the library card tag, so I used that as a guide and cut out paper to match the tag size. Once I had all my tags cut, I just added photos and embellished! Super simple!
This girl is in her last year of elementary school, so it seemed fitting to me to make a mini album with all her 1st day pictures in it. I love looking at her cuteness. She thought it was hilarious how young she looked before this year. Win all around! Plus, I was able to use a bunch of stuff from the September 2017 kits that I probably would have just hoarded otherwise.
I hope you enjoyed this mini album and I really hope I gave you a fun idea to create your own 1st days mini album. Have a blast using up the last pieces of your kits!
Thanks for stopping by!
