September Memory Planning * Jung AhSang

Hello friends, & welcome!  Jung here, and I’m so happy to be sharing my first project with you!  Today, I’ve got a Memory Planner spread using pieces from the September 2017 Main kit, the September 2017 Embellishment kit, and the September 2017 Project Life kit.  This kit is jam packed with Paige Evan’s new collection Turn the Page, and I couldn’t be happier!

I have always been a pen & paper girl.  I don’t use the calendar on my phone, I use a paper planner, and this planner houses my life!  Ha!  Even though I love decorative spreads, my planners have to work for me.  The weekly spreads are not pretty by any means; it is filled with penciled in school activities for my girls, practices, reminders, scratched off to do lists, bills to pay, etc.  The monthly spreads always sat empty, so I decided that would be where I could get creative.

I started out by printing my photos on matte presentation paper, and adhered my photos where I wanted them to be.  Recognize the photo for day 1?

Next I cut some squares from Page Evan’s paper 12, and placed those on my calendar as well.  Then I fussy cut the letters for September and the little blue arrow from the exclusive Project Life cards designed by Kimberly Hutchison.  I also fussy cut a few of the darling cups from Page Evan’s paper 7.

After my base layer was in place, I started embellishing and journaling.  I highlighted my 2 favorite photos of my girls with floral layers and hearts.  I also stamped the leaf image from Paige Evan’s stamp set to add to the fall theme.

Another way I like to personalize my planners is to make my own page marker.  I had a photo page protector that I cut down (it originally had a total of 3 column of 4).

I filled one of the pockets with the sequins from the Paige Evans collection.  I closed that pocket using my fuse tool.  In another pocket, I filled it with hearts and the letter A for our last name.  I was able to put 2 letter A’s back to back, and the same with the hearts.  That way, it looked good from the front and back.  In another pocket, I chose 2 phrase papers from the Paige Evans 2×2 paper pads.  In the last pocket, I added 2 photos.

I am loving everything about this month’s kit!  The colors, the exclusive alpha, and the Paige Evans Turn the Page collection!  If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend that you do!  Stop by the Hip Kit Club shop for more goodies…you don’t want to miss out on the color kit either!

Are you a planner?  I hope you liked my Memory Planner spread, and I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty!

Happy Saturday friends!
