Thursday Inspiration – Monochromatic crafts

Hey Hip Kit Club Fans!

Another Thursday Inspiration post is here, today inspiring you with colors! Cara, Flora and Terhi are here to show their work with monochromatic color schemes. Take the challenge for you too and create something monochoromatic!

Hi, Terhi Koskinen here with my yellow layout! At the moment my favorite colors are definitely all blues, greens and pinks, so I decided to step out of my sweet little comfort zone and use all yellow shades I found from July 2017 kits.

If you look closely, you can see there is some teeny tiny touches of other colors too. That’s because the photograph I used was so full of colors, that I wanted the colors flow around too. It fits better that way, but still the outcome gives you the fun monochromatic look.

The cut file is one of the June 2017 exclusives we have available over at Hip Kit Club website.

I really hope you are inspired!

Hi, it’s Cara here, up next and I’m jumping out of my comfort zone too, but with green. And monochrome itself is not something I do a lot of so this was a fun challenge!

I gathered up everything green that I could find in my July kits and had fun with it! Since, next week I’ll still be on vacation, I wasn’t too worried about covering up a lot of boxes with my clusters and goodies. I really don’t have that much to write in! But of course, I still want to make my planner pretty 😉

I laid a strip of Irit’s fantastic green water colour paper along the bottom and framed it with a skinny strip of an Amy Tangerine paper. I fussy cut the ‘AWESOME’ from the Amy Tangerine All the Feels paper and layered on some stickers from the Amy Tangerine sticker book, the Echo Park epoxy and some exclusive July Hip Kit cutfiles created by Zinia.

On the left hand side, I also added a book, fussy cut from the Maggie Holmes Library paper, some exclusive HKC puffy stickers and a green label from the HKC exclusive pack of chipboard.DSC_8287

I was going to use this green card that I cut from the Bella Blvd cut apart sheet. I was going to use it as a tip in, but since it’s so large, I decided just to tuck it in to my planner.

Hi Ladies! Here is the third inspiration for today. I chose min-blue color for my layout. Firts I cut paper stripes from July Paper 2017 Kit (one strip is a HKC Chipboard packaging) and place them on a white cardstock. I fix them with machine stitching and placed my photo.

I embellished around the photo with fussy cut Dear Lizzy – Lovely Day – Color Me Pretty Paper flowers. I also added HKC Exclusive Summer Bliss Epoxy Stickers from July 2017 Main Kit.

From the July 2017 Embellishment Kit I used HKC Exclusive Summer Bliss Chipboard Sticker, Bella Blvd – Make Your Mark – Designer Clip, Bella Blvd – Acrylic Word. In the end I added Echo Park – Summer Dreams – Decorative Brads and Echo Park – Summer Dreams – Enamel Shape Stickers from July 2017 Project Life Kit.
