Today, I am sharing my latest Bold, Bright & Fun layout with the June 2017 Hip Kits! The colours in the June kits are just amazing! It is wintertime here in New Zealand and these have just totally cheered me up. Even though it is cold, wet and miserable in my part of the world, the products in the summer months kits’ still really easily translate into photos from any time of the year and here I showcase how:
The JUNE project life card was the inspiration for my layout. I just loved the bright fun colours, the interesting typography of the letters and how bold it was on the white background. First, I chose a graphic black and white photo of my daughter in her book week character costume… this is the photo I took before we got all ‘posed’ and I liked that it wasn’t her looking at the camera with a pretty smile. I decided to place it in the bottom right hand side of the background as this allowed the eye to be drawn into the picture by the embellishments on my page as well as the diagonal stripe on the patterned paper as well.
I basically can’t get enough of those scalloped borders from the No. 17 paper designed by Paige Taylor Evans and fussy cut some more of these out to add some more layering under my photo and the cobalt blue diagonal striped strip behind my photo provides the perfect funky vibe in which to add some more embellishing too.
I loved the bright and fun puffy stickers and fundamental stickers from the Make Your Mark Bella Boulevard collection which worked perfectly with the bright and bold look I was going for. My title AIMEE in the gold letters was inspired by the JUNE on the project life card and creates a little feature of her name and is a less traditional way of using up the Alphas in the kits.
I finished up my layout with a sneaky layered June cut file and some triangle clusters using the Pink Fresh Studio die cuts from the Dream on Collection layered with some of the super cool arrows and hearts.
Some close ups:
I hope you have enjoyed my last layout with the June Kits, I just received July 2017 this morning and I can’t wait to start creating with them!
