Travelers Notebook Scrapbook – Pocket Page Layout

Using a Travelers Notebook for Scrapbooking

A travelers notebook is a slim, portable journal system that holds multiple insert booklets inside a leather or fabric cover. The pocket-size format has become popular for scrapbooking because it is perfect for everyday memory keeping, creative planning, and on-the-go projects. Using a curated scrapbook kit with your travelers notebook gives you coordinated supplies that fit the smaller format without overwhelming it.

Hey, everybody!  Jennie here with look at how I used the May 2017 Scrapbook kit to dress up my pocket size travelers notebook!  Having lovely supplies curated perfectly was such a fun way to create my creative planner – let me show you how!

As you can see, I like to create covers and dividers for the individual notebooks in my Travelers Notebook.  Each one serves a purpose, therefore, I like them to each look special like this one that I use for my reading log.

When I open my notebook this is what greets me – it’s cheerful, beautiful and I love it!  The way the die cuts layer together is just perfect!

One of my favorite bits to add is the Crate Paper chipboard decor.  The dimension this gives is amazing!  So not only do they look pretty, but they also really add a textural element that is very special and appealing.

I love this divider!  It combines my favorites – the exclusive puffy stickers!  They provide the perfect set up for my day to day planner.

Tips for Travelers Notebook Scrapbooking

  • Create custom covers and dividers for each insert to give your travelers notebook a polished, personal look.
  • Use chipboard embellishments to add dimension – they stand out beautifully in the smaller notebook format.
  • Layer puffy stickers with flat die cuts to build depth without adding too much bulk to your pages.
  • Organize different notebook inserts by purpose – one for a reading log, one for daily planning, one for memory keeping.
  • Use curated kit supplies so your colors and patterns coordinate across every page of your travelers notebook.
