Welcome to the new week friends! Today we have the challenge of supersizing something! I chose to SUPERSIZE my photo. Using the fabulous April 2017 kits.
Sea, Sun, Soul by Kim Watson
Having such a gorgeous photo meant I didn’t want to distract from the focal point of the photo, so concentrated my detailing on the top right corner & bottom left corner. The effect I wanted was something graphic & fun to offset the moodiness of the image taken at sunset. So settled on the awesome black & white daubed paper from Amy Tangerine. Crate Paper & Pink Paislee’s papers were the perfect accompaniment.
Clustering squares of paper, a few fussy cut items & ephemera adds color & interest. I love how well the stitching ties everything together.
A mixture of our Hip Kit Club exclusive alphas and alpha stickers is an awesome way to add color & fun to the title. A tiny wood heart is all I needed to create dimension.
The bottom of the page acts like an oversized photo corner. Messy machine stitching, tiny sentiment labels from our April cut-apart sheet, designed by Kimberly Hutchinson, stickers & die cuts…are a sure way to create an eye catching cluster. I really hope you are inspired to try something similar! Have an awesome day further ~Kim
