Hey Lovelies, Nae here again for another super fun Friday of layouts and inspiration.. Who is excited for the INSD Crop on the weekend!! I cant wait to see all the awesome challenges, games and inspiration that is going to be constantly popping up!! You definitely don’t want to miss it!
For today’s layout, believe it or not, I am doing something new, for me.. No white card stock background! Oh my gosh, I couldn’t believe it when I started constructing this layout. I just fell in love with the white marble paper and just needed something bright but light to coordinate. I picked the gorgeous yellow chevron and then we jumped straight into this triangular design.
I generally don’t have a design idea when creating layouts. Lately for design team layouts, I have been going in with a preconceived idea. This one just came together organically by itself. I love the monotone like layout. The beautiful yellow embellishments from the Pink Paislee chipboard Thickers, along with the stunningly bright Oasis buttons and a few of those lovely bright yellow acetate ephemera pieces. I just loved bringing together like coloured embellishments (from this kit and past kits) and making them all work and work harmoniously together.
The huge white script words that are in the Embellishment Kit are just so divine and I am so happy to have used both of them now on my layouts. You know how much I love mixing alphas to create my titles and for this one I combined two different types of words to create my title. I love how the gold puffy words create dimension, but still blend in perfectly with the yellow and white colour scheme.
One colour that doesn’t get scrapped a lot, or even utilised completely in reality is yellow. These beautiful bright lemon yellows, all the way to the warm mustard tones are just divine. You can really appreciate yellow when you over load it on a page like this one. I challenge each and every one of you to try and use yellow somewhere in your INSD layouts at our crop over the weekend. I would love to see them.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
