Ripped Paper Layers | Zinia Amoiridou

Hello Hip Kits fans! It’s Zinia here to share with you my first projects using the February 2017 Hip Kits.

For my first layout, I decided to go for a pastel color palette. I picked some of the pink and mint papers from the Main kit and ripped some rectangular pieces.

I wanted the ripped look to be only on the long side of each piece so I made sure to do clean cuts on the sides.

I arranged the papers on my background vertically and I adhered them at the middle of the page. Then it we get to the fun part of embellishing!

I started with some ephemera and chipboard stickers from the Maggie Holmes “Chasing Dreams” collection. To compliment those pieces, I brought in some of the copper foiled clear stickers of the “Oh My Heart” collection that were included in the February Project Life kit.

I also used some of the adorable “Chasing Dreams” phrase stickers.

For a finishing touch, I added some gold touches around the page. I used the Pinkfresh Studio gold stickers that came in the Embellishment kit and one of the Maggie Holmes puffy gold hearts.

In addition to this layout, I’d like to share some pages from my February notebook. Starting in 2017 I decided to switch from pocket style page to the traveler’s notebook system for my day to day documenting. Sometimes it looks more like a minibook, sometimes it reminds a little bit of a planner but in the end of the day, it’s a lovely place to keep all the little memories that make each month special.

I used one of my most favorite papers of the February Main kit as my cover along with the month and a couple of little embellishments.

I try to keep things light a minimal cause I don’t want to add too much bulk in this notebook. The products from the Project Life kit come really handy cause they are not too dimensional.

I print all my photos at 3×3″ to simplify the process. If I end up with extra photos after the notebook is finished, I’ll just use them in my 12×12 layouts.

So these are my projects for today. I really hope you enjoyed them and you got inspired to create something with your February Hip Kits. Make sure to stop by the HKC Facebook page and the HKC Member Forum for even more inspiration.

Until next time, happy scrapping🙂
