Hi there! It’s Jessica back today with a project life spread from my 2016 album. Today, I cracked open my February Project Life kit and fell in love with all the pinks, yellows, and oranges that were in my box. The colors go perfect for a Valentine’s day theme, but I decided to fill in some of my autumn gaps using these warm tones.
This week documents the week I went to Seattle. I do have a mini traveler’s notebook that I made that covers this trip in more detail (you can see that project on Facebook here), but I always like to have a highlight spread in my project life album.
I went back to my digital roots momentarily to print out my journaling on this card. I love that it has a little map in the background because it subtly speaks to the fact that I traveled this week. Or maybe that’s just a fun ink spot… I’m pretending it’s a map 🙂
I have a soft spot in my heart for anything brush stroke, so this ombre card was an immediate win. I wanted to add a bit of contrast to the spread, so I pulled out one of the BEAUTIFUL Maggie Holmes fringe butterflies from the Embellishment Kit and layered it on the card, along with a word strip from the same collection.
Is there anything more goreous than fresh flowers at the market? I can’t think of anything right now. I embellished a few stickers directly on the photo, then used some washi strips from the Oh My Heart sticker book to back more word strips. To top off, I used a few Pink Fresh foam gold hearts to round out the gold in my layout.
That’s it! Another week in the books! I loved that these warm tones will go perfect for February layouts, as well as any fall layouts you may be catching up on (like me!). I can’t wait to see how you use these colors in your spreads!
