Yeeeah so you know how it is, sometimes there’s something you experience or realize – or hear, or do, or say, or…and all you have left to say is: Like what?! Geez! Too long a story, anyway, let’s get back to the layout. (There’s also a process video below).
I am sure some of you know how I work by now. I need colors. Colors make me smile- there’s barely a pastel layout that I made that I truly truly love, colors just speak to my heart. But I don’t want to neglect the pretty papers that we got, so I decided to use a lot more patterned paper than I usually do, that’s why I punched out some patterns with a circle-punch and glued them down randomly. Did you see the turquoise roses? I made them using the Heidi Swapp teal metallic paste that’s included in the color kit. I mixed the paste with turquoise acrylics and went over a rose-stencil using a palette knife – then I cut it out and yay! My own rose-ephemera!
I also scribbled in some gelato circles – really messily and not really caring about the look; I find that that’s the kind of look I want. Did you see? I colored in the fabric thickers from the embellishment kit! Careful, random owl-eyes in the next picture. (O_O).
We know details have a lot of power! I used the tiny washi strips almost on top of each other or next to each other to enhance their effect! Love those, they were a lot of fun to use. I also used some lime and bubble gum pink colored homemade mists – my newest passion: DIY mists
Have a look at my process video to watch how I created this layout:
