Hello and I’m so happy to be back for another week on the Hip Kit Club Guest Design Team!
This week I am mixing up September kits with an August cut file. One of my favorite things about HKC is the exclusive cut files–so useful and so AWESOME! I chose the scallops by Ashley Horton.

For my background I cut a strip of Gather paper and adhered it to the top of the lovely blue Bazzill cardstock. To add detail I zigzag stitched with my sewing machine, also stitching the scallop cut file strips.
The photo is layered over tracing paper and a few torn pieces of papers from the kit. I rarely use 4×6 photos on a page anymore, but this one, taken by my friend Rebekah, was too perfect to print smaller. I embellished the photo area with Maggie Holmes and Simple Stories ephemera, and used the Blessed Thicker pack for my title.
At the top of the page I wanted to add something else and found the perfect item in the MH ephemera pack. I layered this tag with a Simple Stories die cut and machine stitched it to the page.
My card project for today is super-duper simple! I tied a Crate Paper tassel to some ribbon from my stash and tied it to a card base with one of the 4×6 project life cards as a background. I added the Pinkfresh Studios alphas and a die cut from Simple Stories. Boom! Simple card in minutes!
