Hello and happy Tuesday! Today, May 31, is my favorite day of the year because it’s my birthday! YAY! I’ve got two new projects to share with you today using the May kits and the first one is my planner spread for May which highlights my special day. I used the cut-apart sheet and layered it with pieces of patterned paper, washi and puffy stickers to create a little cluster at the top left of my month. I also used lots of alpha stickers from the Project Life kit to highlight our travels and special events this month. I love using washi tape to block off dates so they stand out in my planner and I know not to plan anything else during that timeframe. I also added a few stamps from my stash to designate the year and other activities on my calendar.

Here are a few close up shots so you can see the details. I love the sweet green bow from the Embellishment Kit and used it as a page marker for the month. And those puffy hearts from the Project Life Kit are such a fun embellishment to add to any project!

I really love that this month’s Project Life kit came with multiple styles and colors of alphas that I could use to designate different activities throughout the month. The colors help make dates pop off the page and I love the color it adds to this spread.

The second project I’m sharing is a Project Life spread using the May kits. My husband and I recently went to Philadelphia to attend our nephew’s college graduation. It was so nice to be able to celebrate this special occasion with our family and I took lots of photos to capture our weekend together.

I used many of the exclusive Hip Kit Club Project Life cards and embellished them with alphas from Bella Boulevard, wood veneer from Jillibean Soup, and chipboard frames from Simple Stories. I added the “memories” chipboard word from Bella Boulevard and sequins from Jillibean Soup as final touches for my spread and added them on top of the page protectors. Here are a few detailed shots.
