A peek into my life – Anna Komenda

Hello. I am Anna and I am a scrapoholic. Now you know the truth about me. It’s my first post as a DT member of Hip Kit Club & I am sure you can guess how happy I am? Today I planned a little trip around my craft space but first I would like to say few words about myself.

My name is Anna Komenda and I live in Poland with my supportive husband (I guess most scrappers need supportive husbands, right?), two daughters and a beagle dog called Pirat. I am a geologist but do not work as one right now because I decided to become stay at home Mom. My days are quite predictable, full of routine but also filled with love and little things I want to remember forever, that’s why scrapbooking is so essential for me. Memories are the only thing that no one can take away from us and they stay with us always.

I create projects to preserve those little moments and memories (but also because it’s so much fun 🙂 ). That’s why I mostly make projects with photographs such as layouts, mini albums and Project Life spreads. I am pretty sure you all feel the same.

Few months ago we moved into our new home and I finally have my own craft room with lots of lovely space. I am so happy about it whereas I had only a desk and few drawers in our living space before. Now, I can finally make a lot of mess 🙂

So please, join me on a little scraproom tour 🙂

My room is very bright with white furniture. I decided to paint one wall light blue in color to cheer up the space and add a fresh touch.

And here is where I create. I have a long desk with the place for my laptop, sewing machine and Silhouette Cameo, the easy access means I can now use them all the time.

I store my PL card in a storage box that I got from my friend. She made it all by herself. How cool is that? She even painted it in the same color as my wall. I also have few containers hanging on the wall. In there I store some wood veneers, flair buttons and little chipboards. I even have a little basket for my favourite mists.

I bought some plastic children’s plates and bowls from Ikea and I use them for temporary storage of ephemeras, cutouts or wood veneers whilst I am working on particular project. This helps keep the clutter under control & my desktop free. Clean up afterwards is so easy now.

The other side of the room is for storage and displaying my designs. I decided not to hang anything on the walls so I can rotate the projects easily. I keep them on shelves with few decorative elements.

I store washi tapes and 6*6 paper pads in wire baskets with two shelves dedicated my mini albums.

And I saved the best for the end…this is a cute pen my “very supportive” husband bought me on one of our trips. Yes… it has feathers, sequin butterflies and one leg. And is all neon pink which makes me so happy!!

Thank you for joining me today. I can’t wait to inspire you here and on Hip Kit Club Facebook page.
