Project Life with the February Kits

Good morning! I received my February kits yesterday evening and broke into them right away to get to working on February pages.

I occasionally like to give my project life album some texture and dimension so I mix up my pocket sizes. These page protectors are actually Becky Higgins 12×12 page protectors which I trimmed down to 8×12 and sealed with my Fuse.

The color combos in this kit are so vibrant and fun! I loved the pairing of the Shimelle chipboard stickers from the Embellishment add-on with the exclusive cards in the Project Life add-on designed by our very own, Kim Watson.

You don’t see enough navy in scrapbook supplies these days so these gorgeous rich, dark blues are a welcome change. I love the smaller-sized circular Thicker alphas from the Project Life kit.

I am trying to a do a better job of telling the stories of our everyday this year. And because I don’t like the wall of text look created by several journal cards in a row, I usually try to disperse my journaling on a few journal cards and then some words on a label affixed to the corresponding photo.

The cork hearts with the gold flecks by Pink Paislee are found in the February Main Kit and they might be some of my favorite things ever! I really like the contrast between the soft, floral paper and the harsher texture of the natural cork.

Be sure to follow Hip Kit Club on Facebook to see posts by my fellow design team (different than the ones you see on the blog). There are some really beautiful projects you’ll find exclusively on that feed!
