January Kit | Nancy Damiano

Hey everyone, Nancy here with some polka dot fun from the January Kit and Add-On. The bright and colorful paint drip paper from Studio Calico is one of my favorites in this month’s kit. To offset the bold pattern, I cut it diagonally and layered it with a more muted pattern. This gave me the perfect backdrop for one of my favorite Legoland photos.

To add a nice punch of color to the wood title, I used washi tape to mask off areas and then used acrylic paint to create the color blocked look.

The tabs of patterned paper and die cuts tucked into the left side of the layout, balance out the heavy weight of the title. Plus it adds a fun pattern of colors and textures.

To continue with the theme of dots of color, I added three chipboard circles from the Maggie Holmes Shine collection. I love how this ties into the Legoland theme of the photo.

The happy colors in this collection and beautiful patterns, make for easy storytelling. I love color on bold white backgrounds and the January kit really delivers
