Happy New Year everyone, I hope the new year will bring lots of creative moments. Christin here today to look a little back, and encourage you to take time to remember small, but special moments in the last year before fast forwarding through 2016.

My kids are 8 and 6 years old and they are really best friends. They argue a lot about the little things, but they wouldn’t trade each other away for anything. The 8 year old has is own room, but prefers to sleep in the bunkbed with his little sister.  They always stand up for each other against us and they would often just start to hug or like here on this picture hold hands going home from school on Aneas first day at school, my 8 year old is not afraid to show how proud he is of his little sis. So my encouragement for you with this layout is to look for those special sibling moments, or if your kids don’t have siblings, look for those moments of love for something else.

For this layout I have mixed up all the December 2015 kits. In the background I mixed in a little of the Color Kit  Small drops of the pink and gold/yellow Shimmerz, and I also added gold drops from the mist in the November 2015 Color Kit. The Heidi Swapp gold mist is truly gold on top.

The Crate Paper Shinepapers in the December 2015 embellishment kit is mixed with those from the main kit, I love that with a school kind of theme for my layout there are letter and ruler pattern on the paper.  I used the acetate pieces for my title and placed a few of the Gold Thickers and other chipboard pieces around the layout.
