Smile and do what makes you happy |Christin Grønnslett

Christin Grønnslett here today with another layout with the October 2015 kits, using a combination of the Scrapbook kit, Project Life kit, Color kit and Embellishment kit.

I don’t have a good setup for videos and I usually scrap late in the evenings with mostly my Iphone with me, so sorry for the poor quality of some of the photos.   My  starting point for this layout was to mix the Watercolor pencils in the Color kit with a stencil.  I drew in the stencil and used a waterbrush to get the watercoloreffect. I also drew with a thin marker with the stencil. Everything went great until I accidentaly dropped the paper with wet mist drops and smeared the page….   When I make mistakes like this or a background that might seem like a complete disaster at the time I never throw the background away, I often try to find another use for it, as you will see a little later

So off to make a new background for the page. I was inspired by the paint pattern in the paper and painted most of my page with white gesso to make it possible to add mist and stamps.  For my new background I also used both sides of a stencil cutout leftover from last week and dabbed with distress ink and drew thin lines to have underneath my layers.

Here you also see my new use for the 12×12 watercolorpaper background. I just cut out a piece to use as one of the layers.
