Good morning! Brenda Smith here with you today with my very first blog post on the HKC blog! I am someone who takes a monthly approach to Project Life. One reason this works so well for me is because I feel the freedom to include as many or as little pictures from an event or singular day. Some months I might end up with only two spreads where other months I have as many as seven or eight. This spread I made today includes several photos from the same day.
I used the October kits to create this Project Life spread. The colors worked perfectly with my pictures and complemented them so well!
Want to create layouts like this? Our monthly kits include coordinated papers, embellishments, and supplies to bring your scrapbook pages to life.
I used several embellishments from the DIY Home Ephemera pack in the Main Kit to layer on my photos. I picked two journaling cards from the Project Life Kit with a little bit extra white space to lighten up the page.
I experimented with the transparent effect on this spread. I used some fine glitter as well as some confetti punched from papers in the Paper Add-On Kit. I used a diecut embellishment from the Project Life Kit and stitched it directly onto the page protector.
I created an additional glitter pocket on this page for continuity’s sake. I used several pieces of word art from Kim Watson’s printables that come free with your Hip Kit subscription. I used my Silhouette Cameo print and cut feature to make it really simple.
I used some cardstock from the Cardstock Add-On as well as some papers from the Main Kit to make a few of my own cards. The word art printables layered quite nicely over the DIY Home embellishments.
Until next time!
