Hi! Irit here and today I’m sharing the first layout I created using the September kits! Some are my favorite pieces in this month’s kits are from the new Dear Lizzy collection Documentary. I kept is really simple with strips of patterned paper from the main kit, and some rub ons from the Project Life kit.
Because I wanted to use layers of patterned paper, I decided to apply the rub ons to patterned paper as well, cut them out and use them like die cuts. This way I don’t have to worry about ruining the image of the rub on (which could happen when they are rubbed on a surface that is not completely smooth).
I used the word Hello from the Crate Paper Wonder line that came in the main kit and some black foam thickers from a previous kit to create my title. To balance that wood veneer piece I added some wood buttons, also from Dear Lizzy, that came in the embellishment kit. This layout tells about my daughter starting school (Schulkind is school-child translated literally from German!). Time sure flies!
