Hello gorgeous Hip Kit Club fans!
Are you loving your Saturday? I know I am!! I got to play with paint & create a super fun page that I hope is going to inspire you to get messy! Using the fabulous August Color kit add-on, I created a vibrant painted background using the amazing Dylusions paint from Ranger. The thing that makes this paint unique is not only it’s brilliant color intensity, but also it dries super fast & doesn’t buckle the paper. AWESOME!!
You Can do Anything by Kim Watson
I started by having fun with the yellow & pink paint, spreading it onto white cardstock with an old credit card. I adore how it makes straight edges as well as lovely ‘smooshed’ edges when applying it this way. I then added little black paint daubs to match the yellow journal card from the August PL add-on kit layered underneath my photo. By bleeding it onto the background, it makes one imagine the background & accented layers are one. The uber cute button form A Flair for Buttons adds a great visual anchor to the top left side of the photo!
Once dry, I created a long title from the Pink Fresh Studio sticker alpha sheets & a fussy-cut sentiment from a PL card found in the August PL add-on kit. I love how the sticker colors match the background paint colors. Stitching them through makes sure they don’t fall off.
The black sentiment, black cardstock strips & foam shape, add necessary visual grounding.
The little chipboard flower cluster with black thread, acts as the perfect photo corner & co-ordinates nicely with the blended pink & yellow paint splash. The mixed chipboard motifs & sentiments were from the August Embellishment add-on kit.
So there you have it. A striking page using bright colors & neutrals for maximum impact! Just perfect to remember this special day when, at a Hillsong Christian Youth rally, the life of my teen was changed forever.
I am so glad you stopped by…have a wonderful rest of your weekend!!
