Hello friends…how is your Saturday going?
I was looking thought some of my scrapbook albums last week (which are organised chronologically) & realised that pages of my kids as little ones, were all subjected to my early scrapbooking ability (which was sketchy to say the least), complete with outdated products & boring page designs….hahaha! So I decided something needed to be done about that. I am on a mission to spice my albums & scrap older photos with modern scrapbook product…and what better way to do it than with the gorgeous July Kit from Hip Kit Club?!
Hello SUMMER living by Kim Watson
Loving the clean graphic patterns, vintage colors & fun frames, I decided some layering was in order. Keeping the neutral grey stripe on the bottom means it doesn’t dominate in any way. Using yellow & green as my anchor points, I created visual triangles within the page design. Notice how the vertical rows of different machine stitching draws ones eyes down the page from the title to the photos?
Then I had fun with the Simple Stories frames. I filled them with photos, laid them on top of each other & added extra embellishments. The happy collage becoming a vital part of the page design.
The finishing touches came in the form of a long title, using some of the gorgeous alpha stickers in the July kits. The mixture of lovely fonts & finishes, which makes it really eye catching!
Thanks so much for joining me today! I hope you are loving your July & August kits? Remember to pop back tomorrow for more inspiration from the talented DT.
