Hey, friends! Missy back with you today. I have another layout to share using the beautiful 2015 July Hip Kits! I decided to start my page with the beautiful Twisted Citron Distress Ink in the Color Kit this time, so I narrowed my color scheme to blues and greens. In addition to the Citron, I used the Mermaid Lagoon from May’s Color Kit as well. I pulled the cute Shimelle camera stamp from the June Embellishment Kit and lightly stamped it to get the background design. I also added machine stitching with grey thread. All my papers & embellishments are blue, green and grey from all the July Kits.
At first, I didn’t think I’d ever find a use for this cute little scooter. But once I decided on my title, I knew it would be perfect. I found this awesome quote on Pinterest and I thought it fit my photo of my daughter so well. And the scooter reminded me of just riding down the road with the breeze in your hair, so that was the “feel” I was going for. I added a strip of patterned paper under it to give it a place to sit, added some tangled thread and a puffy sticker.
Here you can see the layers behind the photo. I added the long title on the side, mixing up the October Afternoon alphas with the shiny silver glitter Thickers. I also added some of the Crate Paper chipboard, and Elle’s Studio die cut and a puffy stickers and a flair pin from OA as well.
The fun October Afternoon Roller Date stamp is so fun…it had the perfect sentiment for this page. You can also see the beautiful colors of the two inks mixed together here. That grey heart is from Elle’s Studio, and the puffy sticker and enamel dots are from OA…all included in the kits.
Here’s one more close up of the title area. I added a few more chipboard pieces and a die cut before adding a bit more stitching.
Here’s the process video of this layout being put together if you’re interested in seeing it. Hope you enjoy!
LOVE this page! Lifting it…
