Hi there! Irit here with a new layout using the summery May kits. This layout started with Ashley Horton’s free cut file that was posted last weekend on the blog and member forum on Facebook, and when I saw it I immediately thought it would be perfect for my wedding anniversary photos. I cut it out of cardstock from the cardstock kit and used it as a stencil. Here’s the final result-
I used the two paint dabbers from the color kit to create my background on one of the patterned papers from the main kit. The paper has a light grey ledger print, and I love that little added texture and detail.
So simple and so effective! The rest was easy peasy. I used some scraps of patterned paper behind my photo and to cut out some XOXO, using the pieces from the cut file as my template.
The rest is just lots of embellishments from the main kit and the embellishment kit.
I cut out those cute little hearts from one of the Dear Lizzy patterned papers. And since I wanted a splash of pink, I used Amy Tan’s Thickers from April’s embellishment kit as well.
There’s also a process video showing how I created this layout-
Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you feel inspired to use some cut files like stencils! Have a great day!
