Hey there, friends! Missy back with you today sharing another layout using the gorgeous 2015 June Hip Kits! I think I have found the most stunning patterned paper to ever cross my desk…this beautiful piece from Simple Stories that I used for my background. I’m so in love with it…the colors, the blending…it’s just perfection. I knew I needed to use it as a background, and I decided it was so pretty on its own that I didn’t need to add anything else to it as far as mixed media goes. I used a tiny bit of modeling paste through a lined stencil for a bit of texture, but the rest is layers with paper, Project Life cards and embellishments. I used several of the Fancy Pants tags from the Embellishment Kit as layering pieces. I love that they come with strings attached!

I did get my messy fix on this page by embossing these cameras. The Color Kit comes with bright orange and clear embossing powder, so I used the fun Shimelle camera stamp from the Embellishment Kit and made a few shiny embellishments. I cut them out and layered them and I love how they turned out.

I used the two Avery Elle ink pads to create this pretty ombre effect on this Evalicious wood veneer. I just stuck my finger on each ink pad and smudged the ink onto it. The two colors blended into a pretty orange in the middle. I layered some aqua tangled thread under it. I also added some gold stitching through the Crate Paper “Hello” piece and that Fancy Pants border piece.

Here’s one last close-up of the bottom part. I used one of the kraft tags and layered a die cut over it. That cute little wood veneer camera is part of the Evalicious pack. So cute!

Here’s a look at how I put this layout together if you’d like to see it in action. Hope you enjoy!
