Hello all, it’s Terhi here with a layout made with May Kit and Add-ons. I got my inspiration from May Color Kit, and to be exact, the flower stencil from Amy Tangerine stencil package gave me the idea of making lots of blooms to the background. And as we had that sweet blue Distress Ink, called Lagoon Mermaid, in the kit I couldn’t resist to pick blue to my main color.

I usually pick the photograph first, but as said, I couldn’t resist the blue ink, so I printed a picture of me with my bright blue eyes. Using one or two main colors on the layout makes it calm and harmony.

After making some stencil work I took the stamps from May Project life Add-on and made some very interesting random stamping to the background. Stamping here and there the way I did with this guides your eyes to picture, and of course that’s what we want to do.

I made lots of layers, actually I went a little crazy with the layers as one of the best part of making a layout is the designing part. Setting papers the I way want and adding scraps to give colors just to the right spots – I love it and could keep going for hours! But don’t be afraid, the process video below doesn’t include hours long designing parts 😉
