Happy Tuesday, friends! Missy here. I get so excited when I dig into my Hip Kits…and this one has a mix of both May and April. I was inspired by the washi tape strips booklet in the May Embellishment Kit, and I wanted to use a lot of it on one page. I began by pulling and tearing strips and just placing them on the page. I knew where I wanted my photo to go, so I only put them in that area. I added a bit of white gesso so I could add in some of the yellow paint from the Color Kit. I love the color combos in this…I would never have thought that orange/red color would look good with pinks, yellows and teals, but it sure does!
These Evalicious wood veneer pieces are so fun! I painted this one yellow. I used some of the Chickaniddy stamps on my background and fussy cut the 3 from the Dear Lizzy vellum.
The Color Kit has these adorable American Crafts mini-stencils, and they are so fun! I used March’s Distress Paint to create these “FUN” words and then surrounded the area with stamping, enamel stickers and an epoxy sticker from last month.
I fussy cut this Project Life card from Evalicious…how cool that it matches the wood veneers! I added some pink tangled thread behind it and also a few Pink Paislee pieces around it.
Here’s a shot of the layering…pretty simple behind the photo. The little Evalicious puffy stickers are the cutest!
Finally, I used some of the Crate Paper Thickers from last month’s Embellishment Kit as part of my title and paired them with stickers from this month. I love mixing and matching!
I did film this layout, so here’s a video showing how I created it from start to finish if you’d like to see it. Hope you enjoy!
