The first challenge up today is my challenge to use Soft Colors/Pastels, and here is what I created.
For this challenge you need to include:
1. A touch of white to keep the softness in your layout. I used some cut files from Wilna Furstenberg for my layouts (the other layout is on the FB page).
2. Some sprinkles, this could be sequins, splatters of paint/ink, or rub-ons. (You can see I love to add diagonals to all of my work and I achieved this with the sequins and rub-ons giving a soft floating appearance to keep with the soft colors/pastels).
3. Sometimes soft colors/pastels can seem a little washed out, so your last piece of the challenge is to add in one pop of color! In this layout I added in the gray/black striped paper for a little interest.
Here are a few close-ups of the details that keep my page soft.
I also have one last PL page to share using the April Project Life Add-On kit, I even kept the soft color/pastel combinations here with a black and white picture for some pop.
Here are a few of my favorite cards…
I also created a (silent) process video if you’d like to watch how I scrap,
And now it is time to get your scrap on! Jump on over to the Hip Kit FB page and play along with the many challenges being offered this weekend. See you there!
