Hello Hip Kit Club friends!  Every year I do a layout about celebrating Chinese New Year.  And now that my daughter is getting older and more interested in her heritage, she is also more excited about it.  I usually try to make these celebration layouts colorful and festive.

I used a combination of April Main, Embellishment, Cardstock, and Color Kits along with cut files from Nicole Nowosad.  The scribble cut files were cut from the Bazzill white vellum.  Did a lazy stitch across them to hold but enough that they could still lift up.  Added watercolor from the Color Kit, and sprinkled with embellishments.  My photos were printed at 1.40″x1.40″ and trimmed leaving a fourth of an inch border.

I added repeated stamping along the border and colored with the watercolor pencils.  Both from the Color Kit.  I decided not to handwrite, and instead typed onto a piece of that same Amy Tangerine pattern paper, and then adhere and stitch to my layout.
