Meet the Cheeseballs | Missy Whidden

Hey there!  Missy back with you.  I cannot get enough of these amazing 2015 April Hip Kits!  This is my first layout using them, and I just wanted to use every single thing on one page!  It was so hard to choose which gorgeous piece to use next.  I started with one of the Heidi Swapp watercolor cards in the Color Kit and used those amazing Prima Watercolor Pencils on them to get my mixed media look.  I tried a few different techniques to get this look.  I also used a few patterned papers and that beautiful Peapod green cardstock from the Cardstock Kit.  I cut some messy circles to add a pretty pop of green.
The Thickers in these kits are AMAZING!  I paired the shiny gold foam words with the black foam alphas for my title.  The wooden tags are SO pretty….I love the pinks and oranges in this one!  So bright and fun!
Here’s a look at the bottom cluster.  I tried to pull in at least one piece in most of the colors I used and added some dark grey stitching.  I also used a few of the Elle’s Studio stamps from the Color Kit.  There are SO many fun little goodies this month!
Lots of layers going on here.  I used some blue thread up the left side of the layout and some shiny gold over this American Crafts chipboard frame.  I also added a bit of the blue watercolor pencils to the left side and bottom cluster of my page for extra pops of blue.
And finally a close up of that awesome Heidi Swapp card.  There are several of them in the pack, and they take the watercolor very well.  It was really fun to add color to it and make this a big part of my layout.
I hope this gives you some ideas of what you can do with these kits.  I am just in love with the colors and the mix of products.  I can’t wait to see what you all create!

Here is my process video showing how I made this layout from start to finish.  Enjoy!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!
