Hey hey crafty friends…how is your weekend going? I hope you are managing to get in some craft time because I have a page to share with you using my March 2015 kit which arrived on Thursday! Yippee!!!
Is it just me or are these kits just gorgeous?!
I am totally crushing on the colors & wonderful mixture of accents & papers…sigh! Ok…ok I’ll stop gushing now & get to my project.
Enjoy Life & Belly Laugh by Kim Watson
When planning this page I started with the photographs. They are from our Easter day photoshoot that went a little off topic rather quickly. The kids were so charged on sugar that sitting still just wasn’t on the cards, so I went with it & the results are epic. We all had a blast…and the results are seriously scrap-worthy. I love each & every blurry photobomb & insane pic; they are real… real life. LOL!
I decided to add a color cast action onto the photos giving them a more neutral vibe to better coordinate with the papers. This pic is a photobomb of note….I love the reaction of her sister in the right corner…haha!
It was actually this pretty journal card from Evalicious that sparked my page design. Adding some of the small green alphas from My Mind’s Eye completed the sentence helping it be more conversational.
Next I cut the ampersand out of the divine string art paper from Crate paper. It became the next part of my title.
Then I added some of the fab Thickers included in the kit & add-ons completing my conversational title. A Signo Uniball, white pen worked so well on the navy cardstock. I love how it doubles as texture in that corner of the page.
Next I worked on some little clusters scattered around the page. This one is once again is conversational & adds to the overall conversation of the page & related directly to the photos.
Cutting a few flowers from the Crate paper & layering them, made the cutest 3D photo corner. Notice how the carefully placed wood veneer accents, flair & word stickers actually read yet another subtitle? I love how this last cluster finishes off the page so nicely.
I enjoyed sharing this project with you, I hope you find it inspirational? Remember to go to the head over to the Hip Kit Club website & grab some of the March 2015 add-on kits still available. You won’t regret it…they are exceptional!
This layout is amazing !! I love how well all the papers work together !
