Love You | Missy Whidden

Happy Tuesday, friends!  It’s Missy here with you today.  I have another fun layout to share using the 2015 March Hip Kits.  I started with some of the mint cardstock from the Cardstock Kit this time and built my page from there.  I wanted to incorporate pink and black into the mix as well, so I grabbed a few of the patterned papers from the Main Kit and cut them into strips.  I wanted my photos in the center, so I adhered the strips above and below them.  I added some white gesso in spots over the strips and then came in with some gelatos to add some pink smudges.  Some gold stitching finished off the strips.

I used lots of the goodies from the Crate Paper chipboard sheet and the Webster’s Pages sticker sheet.  Here you can see how I layered one of the frames and stitched around everything.  I added pop dots under that banner sticker to give it some dimension.

I can’t get enough of these exclusive die cut tags!  They are perfect and they match the papers in the kit to a tee.  I overlapped one of the shiny gold MME word stickers over those LOVE chipboard pieces to create my title and then added in a few of the Pinkfresh Studio gold rub-ons and a Freckled Fawn cork heart.

Here’s another angle of the photo cluster.  I used more goodies from Crate Paper, Pinkfresh Studio and Webster’s Pages here.

I decided to overlap these LOVE pieces.  I wound up gluing them down because the gesso was a bit gritty and they didn’t want to stick to that.  I also added a few of these shiny gold diamond pieces and one of the Elle’s Studio wood veneer pieces.

One more close up…I just love these kits so much!  Everything included is just beautiful and works so well together!

I hope this gives you an idea on how you can use your March Kits…there really are a ton of possibilities!  Sometimes starting with colored cardstock can take your layout in a completely different direction.  I always wind up loving the results when that happens 🙂

Here’s a process video of how I created this page from start to finish.  Enjoy!

Have a great day!
