Hi! Kim Watson here with another project using the gorgeous February kit, and this time I got messy and played with inks, gesso, texture paste & layers. I wanted to create something with energy & color. Don’t you just love that the Hip Kits have a color add-on every month, it makes adding mixed media to my pages a breeze!

Gel gesso, texture paste & paint make the prettiest background, easy to adapt to different themes by merely changing the colors of the paint you use.

Try using little die-cut labels from the My Minds Eye ephemera pack, as a border for your photograph. Die-cut white leaves for great texture! 

More die-cuts from My Minds Eye teamed with chipboard stickers from Craft Paper & Flair from Evalicious. 

Left over paper strips make a simple border along the edge of the page, stitched for texture. The gorgeous cobolt foam Alphas from American Crafts really make a statement against the yellow background.
