Morning friends!
I hope you have a super weekend planned & have put some time aside to get some crafting done, because I have a fun technique for you to try. Using the gorgeous February kit, I created this page with lots of white space & clusters of detail for interest.
This is The Story by Kim Watson
Even thought the February kit was filled with really bright colors, by selecting a selection of green & black & white papers, I was able to keep my palette tonal, achieving a super Spring inspired layout.
By cutting the pretty patterned circles out from the Webster’s Pages, Beautiful Chic, Swatches paper; I was left with a handful of pretty accents to play with. Arranging them in loose vertical rows, adding wood veneer & vellum circles & then stitching them, created this amazing background!
I wanted more black & white accents to balance the page design, so grabbed a Sharpie & some white paper & doodled little flower & leaf clusters to compliment the chipboard accents from the Crate Paper 12×12 sticker sheet. The tiny gold hearts were cut from the Crate Paper, Maggie Holmes Flea Market, Gold Tile thickers.
This happy Spring cluster is a combination of chipboard Crate Paper 12×12 sticker sheet, die-cut flowers from My Mind’s Eye, Jubilee Wild Berry, Mix Bag Die Cuts, my own hand doodled flowers & stitched vellum leaves. If you are interested to know how I made the leaves, I have a full tutorial below.
