Happy Tuesday, Hip Kit fans! Missy here. I’m SO excited to share my first layout using the 2015 March Hip Kits! They are nothing short of spectacular, let me tell you. I decided to jump right into the Color Kit, using the larger circle stencil and the Distress Paint. I pulled a sheet of white cardstock from the Cardstock Kit and created this fun, whimsical background. I did add a bit of gelato and watercolor on top of the paint. I had the urge to create a banner on this one, so I used a triangle punch and created one. The rest is fun embellishments from the kits! I just adore the mix of these colors.
Here you can see the background more closely and all the beautiful gold elements. That Hello Everyday card is from the Project Life Kit. It’s perfect for 12×12 layouts, too. I truly can’t get enough of the gold in all of these kits!
The bottom cluster is full of goodies. I used one of those awesome exclusive die cuts paired with a flair button. The pack of kraft and cream word & phrase stickers from Crate Paper is amazing and perfect for adding sentiments.
I stitched my banner pieces down and flipped them up to give them some dimension. I also painted that wood veneer from Elle’s Studio with the Distress Paint. I love the pop of color it gives.
It doesn’t get any better than kraft Thickers! They coordinate so perfectly with these colors!
I created my very first process video for Hip Kit Club! I tried to make it as short as possible, but my process just takes a long time. I included as much as I could for you. I hope you enjoy!
