Ah, we made it to another Friday! 🙂 Welcome everyone, Wendy here today to share some inspiration from my February kit. So I thought my last post was my last layout from my February kit, but my March kit still had not arrived so… What was left to create with? Lots of pieces! I did have this piece of Amy Tangerine paper left from the Main kit that looked great with this pictures of my kids at the beach and I really wanted to use this We R Memory Keepers watercolor paper that I hadn’t found a way to use yet, so I combined those in a pretty simple design. I then took all of my scraps and began to layer around my picture, building interest.
I chose to use black as a visual triangle at the top of my page, under my picture
and then again in an embellishment cluster at the bottom. I did pull in a watercolor word from the January kit to add a little more to my layout.
While I was working on my layout I found a few pieces that I thought might make another layout so I began pulling items and laying them together as I constructed the first layout. This layout was really a bare bones, kill the kit kind of layout as I created 9 layouts, 1 PL spread, and 1 card with the February kit!
I was drawn to the doors paper to show that my son learning a new skill can open doors. I used the journey and world rub-on to show its a new phase in his life. The words are to remember that even though he is starting to work some, life is still full of good times. (We homeschool and my hubby has his own business so the boys are able to learn book learning and hands on skills.)
Thanks for joining me this morning! Have a blessed day and don’t forget to stop back by to see what Alex has in store for you tonight!
