Hey there, Hip Kit friends!  Missy here.  I’ve created one more layout using the 2015 February Hip Kits…my 6th one!  I decided to use some of the kraft cardstock from the Cardstock Kit as my base for this one.  I was in the mood to go bright and bold again, so I reached for the Calypso Teal Dylusions from the Color Kit.  I sprayed some onto my paint tray and then used a wide paint brush to just brush it onto the paper in streaks.  I used a deeper blue gelato and made some extra smudges.  I used some of the vellum as well as a few patterned papers as layers and then added in a few embellishments around the layout.

Here’s a close-up of the layers.  I used the lid to the Dylusions as a stamp to create those little circles.  I also added some machine stitching.

I still had a few pieces of the wood veneer left, so I added this one here.  I also mixed up my title by using the bright blue Heidi Swapp alphas and a word cut from my Cameo.

Here’s the bottom right corner.  I really love how this part came together.  I added some of the Dylusions and gelato here and then layered some vellum circles, a piece of the cut apart Heidi Swapp paper, a big pink circle from an MME paper, some Heidi Swapp washi tape and a Crate paper chipboard bird…so many different elements that just work together so nicely.

Isn’t this bright blue just gorgeous?  I love that it adds such a bold pop of color and is very pretty mixed with the teal spray.

I can’t wait to get started with the March Kits…I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working my way through these February Kits.  I hope you’ve been inspired!  I just love seeing all of your work on our forum 🙂
