Back in January my friend Gail and I visited the US for 10 days. When we arrived back home in Australia this was the view of our kids as they waited patiently for us to get through customs. It really warmed our hearts and I want to get this memory scrapped.

I thought it was a bit of  a celebration so I had to include that balloon die cut from the February 2015 Hip Kit Embellishment Kit at the top of my page.

I wanted to add another balloon so I grabbed one of the wood veneer shapes and trued some gold thread around it and added a little bow. I then ran some more gold thread down to my photo to serve as the string of the balloon. I love the fun effect this gives to my layout.

I layered my photo over some vellum for some subtle texture then added more of this Gold Rub Ons 2015 Hip kit Club Main Kit below my photo. To complete I added some strip journaling which i typed out on my typewriter!
