Welcome back to another Sunday afternoon. Have you been crafting today? I have and this week I decided to create a couple of cards using the February 2015 Main Scrapbook Kit. It’s always a good idea to have a few cards on hand ‘just in case’!
I decided to go girly with my cards this week and couldn’t help but use all those hot pink elements in the kits.
For my first card I layered that large hot pink spotted paper over and under papers from the We R Memory Keepers 6×6 paper pad. The soft green adds a resting place for the eye as a base for my card. I stitched the top layer with my machine to add some subtle texture.
I also added some dimension by placing some elements on my card with pop dots including the speech bubble and flair. The other elements are layered and clustered to provide cohesion to my card.
I began my second card with that soft green and the floral pattern paper also from the 6×6 pad in the kit. I wanted a whimsical feel to my card so I trimmed more of the hot pink spot paper into a banner then added a square of Heidi Swapp paper over the top with pop dots.
The little chipboard birdie from the Crate Paper Notes and Things Chipboard Accents in the February 2015 Embellishment Kit was also added with pop dots to add further dimension. To complete I added a few of the My Minds Eye enamel dots as a final splash of color!
Thanks for stopping by this Sunday. Happy crafting to you, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
