Hi! My name is Irit Landgraf, I’m 34 years old, married and mother to a sweet 5 year old girl. I was born and raised in Israel, and moved to Austria (no kangaroos here!) 3 years ago. Moving to a strange country has brought many changes and new experiences to my life, one of them was the discovery of scrapbooking. I started scrapbooking in 2011, and it has since become my favorite hobby and creative outlet. I love using color on my layouts, and have been having lots of fun with paints, watercolors, inks, and all things mixed media. I get to be creative and artsy and keep memories all at the same time,

I’m so excited to share my first design team project with you! This layout has all the things that I love nowadays, some mixed media, pink, and shiny things… Almost everything here is from the September Hip Kits, but there are also a few items from the August Hip Kit (I mix and match kits all the time). I started the page with a soft pink cardstock that came with the August cardstock add on. I used a dry baby wipe (a dry paper towel will also work, but the baby wipe is softer) to apply gesso to the background. That creates that subtle, almost cloud-like pattern. I then used a stencil and modeling paste to add more texture. I also added some gesso to the ‘shine’ Studio Calico wood veneer, just to soften the natural wood color a little.
