Our Hip Kit Club May Sketch designed by Ashley Horton, got me thinking outside my box and comfort zone. I’m normally not into the misting things and I am surely not an expert stamper but I love the color of the Heidi Swapp Color Shine from our May Color Add-On Kit, and the awesome DIY Roller Stamps in our May Stamp Add-On Kit.
To get the stamped image in the center of my cardstock background, I cut a square out of the center of a 12×12 piece of cardstock to create a mask, and rolled away. I used the Color Shine on the edges of the cardstock. To get the look I was going for I unscrewed the top and just used the nozzle tube to brush the edges of the kraft cardstock. Again, I’m going to tell you how much I LOVE the Basic Grey Highline goodies in this kit! They are awesome! The chipboard and snippets were the first thing I grabbed to create this layout.
This card was made from the leftover scraps I have from our May kits. I cut a few of them into triangles then layered with foam squares. The veneer pieces from the Main kit came in handy for the sentiment because I was having a hard time find something that would work and look right. I hope I’ve inspired y’all again this week with these projects! See you again next week! xo Mandy
