Hey scrappers! It’s Ashley Fowler here, sharing my 1st layout created with our April 2014 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits. When I initially caught a glimpse of this month’s kit, I was so excited to see the Pantone Color of the Year mixed with all of those vibrant colors. I couldn’t wait to jump right in and begin creating.
This layout was very simple to put together and focused mainly on the embellishments in the kit. I started by adding a stamp to the background for interest and then layered my photos on two papers from the Lemonlush collection by Studio Calico.
I purposely chose black and white photos that are very similar so that the colors from the kits had that extra “pop.” I used the versatile stamp set by Elle Studio included in our April Stamp Add-On Kit to create some quick embellishments on cork, along with the sequins and embellishments from the main kit. I sewed strips of paper to frame page and added India Ink for finishing touches.
