Hello All! Wendy here to share up my layout, “Over the Mountains”. I was completely inspired by the October Afternoon triangles paper in the March 2014 – Main Kit and Paper Add-On Kit to kick start my layout. The triangles led to the transition of a clean and graphic feel to my layout. |
My favorite twist on this layout is using the March 2014 – Stamp Add-On Kit and embossing powder in Leaf color from American Crafts to mimic the triangle shapes. I heat embossed this accent on my layout using the chevron stamp in the March 2014 – Stamp Add-On Kit. I cut the finished chevron design to a triangle shape to add to my layout. I used this technique a couple of times throughout my layout. |

I chose to crop and cut a a larger photo of the Austrian mountains in a triangle shape as the focal point of my layout. I layered a triangle chipboard shape (from my stash) over the triangle photo for more depth to the photo. |
I stamped part of the title and used the awesome silver Thickers by American Crafts in the March 2014 – Main Kit as the rest of my title. I also used the triangle shape in the Evalicious puffy stickers included in the March 2014 – Main Kit as another play on the triangle effect to my layout. The wording was rather perfect on the sticker because the Austrian mountains are truly breathtaking! |
I sketched out my layout prior to putting it all together because I wanted the triangles to flow without being ‘overdone’ in too many busy triangle shapes. So, I paid attention to the right balance of green and white color scheme of the triangles cut from the October Afternoon paper in the March 2014 – Main Kit. |
I chose to add a pop of minimal circle shapes using the October Afternoon die cut shapes included in the March 2014 – Main Kit. The March 2014 – Main Kit is LOADED with embellishments to accent your pages above and beyond! |
