Happy Sunday!Today I am sharing an awesome layout & card created by Mel Blackburn using our August 2013 Hip Kit & Add-On Kits. I love how Melanie’s layouts always have so many wonderful layers to them. It makes me want to reach out and touch them.She used the Crate Paper Pier Slide Frame to create a little extra dimension on her page. By adding layers over the top of the frame rather than filling it – gave her layout a feeling of airiness. She also added a layer vellum over some of the patterned papers which gives a calming effect to the bright colors and bold patterns beneath it.Her card has a similar style. Mel has a talented for pulling together a few bits and pieces to create a great card – it is very similar to the way that she makes awesome embellishment clusters on her layouts.
