Happy Thursday!I hope you are all having good day so far. The sun is shining here in the pacific northwest – which is really nice after the clouds and rain we have had over the past several days. Fall is my favorite time of the year – when the air is crisp, the leaves change color and there are all kinds of festivities from the excitement of a football or soccer game, the anticipation of Halloween, costumes and trick-or-treating to a quiet rainy day with a warm fire – a perfect time to SCRAPBOOK. 😀 LOL…

So pull out your July Hip Kit and take a look at these marvelous projects by Bethany Crowell created with our July kit & Add-On Kits. They will definitely inspire you to get scrapping if you are in a dry spell.Enjoy! xo – Kimberly – |

I love this striped paper from Elle’s Studio! It is an awesome background for your projects. I love the text that is on it too! The “Travel Girl” sticker is so cute and whimsical – and it is a perfect accent for Bethany’s photo.I love how Bethany colored the Studio Calico wood veneer alphabet from our Embellishment Add-On Kit with the Hero Arts Shadow Ink pads in our July Stamp Add-On Kit. So pretty!Adding a little bit of vellum over the October Afternoon map print paper makes the pattern more subtle and creates a nice backdrop for the embellishment cluster so that it really pops of the page. The layering on her layout is fantastic!
Adding mist to the cardstock background paper makes it more interesting and draws the eye right to the photo. I love the Travel Girl Ephemera included in our July Embellishment Add-On Kit. There are so many wonderful bits and pieces to work with. Bethany created her embellishment cluster on the upper left corner of her photo using a few of the die cuts from that pack. The wood veneer alphabet from are perfect for titles and captions. These little alphas give great texture and dimension. 🙂
Super cute card! Notice how she added vellum over the busy map print to layer her sentiment and a few other embellishments. It makes them really stand out! I love using vellum!
I love the texture of the red & blue thread behind those cute little birds. The thread really grounds the birds to the card and creates a nice resting place for the heart. Here you see the Elle’s studio paper used again and the text becomes the sentiment for her card! Great idea!
Our July Stamp Add-On Kit includes the amazing Travel Girl Clear Stamp Set. It has lot of words and little icons that are perfect for both layouts and cards. I love how Bethany combined several of the stamps to create her card. She used the Hero Arts Shadow Ink Pads included in our Stamp Add-On to stamp the images onto her card. Notice how nice and crisp they are. I love the charcoal ink… it had just the right amount of contrast for this card. I think black would have been way too bold and would have completely changed the feel of her card. |
